Event Details

Join other authors in grades 6-12 at this story prep meeting to create character sheets, work on a story outline, discuss your upcoming novel, and share writing tips. Snacks and tea will be provided! We will also have writing prompts, and a magic eight ball to help you work through any plotting blocks.

Not doing NaNoWriMo?

Not a problem. All authors in grades 6-12 are welcome to join us! Create a D&D character, outline a short story, or work on a project you already have underway!

What is NaNoWriMo?

National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) is a fun, empowering approach to creative writing that takes place every November. The challenge: draft an entire novel in just one month. For 30 wild, exciting, surprising days, you get to lock away your inner editor, let your imagination take over, and just create! The Young Writers Program supports under-18 writers.

Writers can sign up online to keep track of their writing progress or use paper logs available at the library.
