Event Details

Join us in a NaNoWriMo kick-off event! Meet other young writers, talk out your story plans, build your characters, take writing prompts, and more! We will have music and light refreshments available. This event if for teens in grades 6-12.

What is NaNoWriMo?

National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) is a fun, empowering approach to creative writing that takes place every November. The challenge: draft an entire novel in just one month. For 30 wild, exciting, surprising days, you get to lock away your inner editor, let your imagination take over, and just create! The Young Writers Program supports under-18 writers.

Writers can sign up online to keep track of their writing progress or use paper logs available at the library.
