Toys for Tots Annual Drive

The Toys for Tots drive runs through Thursday, December 5, 2024. Donations of new, unwrapped toys and games for ages up to 15 years old are welcome. A donation bin can be found in the front vestibule of the library. Thank you for contributing!

Please join us to help kick off our year of celebration for the 125th Anniversary of the Mary Riley Styles Public Library! 

Kick-Off Event Schedule

11:00 am: Birthday Party Story Time
Lower Level Conference Room 
A special Birthday Party Story Time for children ages 2-11 in honor of Mary Riley Styles, who was born on January 3, 1869. 

11:00 am – 2:00 pm: Open House 
Upper Level Conference Room | Main Reading Room | Falls Church History Room  
Drop by our Open House anytime between 11:00 am and 2:00 pm for light refreshments (including candies that were popular in 1899), a few fun activities, and a chance to learn more about the library’s history. See some of the books that were in the library’s original collection, visit the Falls Church History Room, and talk with library staff and members of the Library Board and MRSPL Foundation about the library and our 125th anniversary.

1:00 pm: 125th Anniversary Kick-Off Ceremony 
Upper Level Conference Room
A brief ceremony officially kicking off our year-long 125th Anniversary Celebration! Join us for the reading of the 125th Anniversary Proclamation, the unveiling of the new Mary Riley Styles portrait, and remarks from the Library Board, the Acting Library Director, and the MRSPL Foundation.

  • No RSVP is needed to attend the Story Time or the Open House.
