Event Details

During the 18th century, thousands of German and Scots-Irish families travelled south through the Valley of Virginia to southwest Virginia, the Carolinas, Kentucky, Tennessee. 

Daniel Thorp, associate professor at Virginia Tech, will talk about the pioneers who made this trek, their experience on the road, and the communities they established.
