Special book group copies are also set aside roughly one month before the discussion and can be requested on a first come, first serve basis by emailing circ@fallschurchva.gov.
Want to read reviews and background material? Optional background material - including reviews, author bios, and author interviews - can be found on the Wednesday Evening Book Club's website roughly one week before the discussion.
Special thanks to the MRSPL Foundation, whose support enables us to purchase extra copies of each title for this book club. Did you know the library is always getting new books? Awesome, right? But it can be pretty hard to choose from so many new books. Don't worry, we have your back.
The group will discuss:
A "Great Books" discussion concentrating on literary classics (both traditional and modern) usually meeting at 7 p.m. on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month. All are welcome.
Join Operation EarthWatch at the library! Students in Grades K-5, accompanied by their caregivers, are invited to the MRSPL conference room to work on this month's activities.
The MRSPL Board of Trustees holds its regular monthly meeting on the third Wednesday evening of the month (unless otherwise specified).
We will be discussing the book Scales of Justice by Ngaio Marsh. Written in 1955 it is a classic English Village whodunit. In the village of Swevenings there are secrets and eccentric characters abounding.
Come in, get cozy and enjoy a group discussion of books of mystery and suspense by famous and lesser known authors from the Golden Age of Mysteries. Meetings will be held every other month, usually on the 4th Wednesday of that month. We have been holding Hybrid meetings; you can join in-person or via zoom
